Cable Terminations

Merqab supplies cable terminations for LV, MV, and HV cables used to terminate power cables at switchgear, transformers, cable boxes, and other electrical apparatus. Our range includes heat shrink outdoor and indoor terminations, cold shrink terminations, push-on separable terminations, and porcelain or composite outdoor sealing ends for transmission voltage levels. A properly installed cable termination provides a reliable, weatherproof electrical connection at the cable end, controlling the electric field gradient and protecting the cable insulation from environmental degradation. Termination failures are a significant cause of cable system outages and are typically caused by incorrect selection, installation errors, or moisture ingress.
